New double CD with 57 songs.
Next year will be a landmark one for Dave, being 50 years since he turned
professional with his backing band The Cruisers.
Dave enjoyed a prolific seven-year career in the Decca Studios in the
1960s,recording in the region of 100 tracks. Some of the songs featured The
Cruisers but other tracks saw him backed by world-renowned artists such as
Jimmy Page on guitar and blues harmonica, guitarist Big Jim Sullivan and
John Paul Jones playing bass.
Almost 60 songs from 1963-1966 feature on "This Strange Effect - The Decca
Recordings Volume One" , with the remainder lined up for a second double CD.
Dave still performs nationally and internationally, says he has never been
one for reminiscing about days gone by but listening to the new CD has
certainly brought many happy memories flooding back.
The CD will be released by Cherry Red Records at the end of August. Watch
the website when the CD will be available.
